It was an eventful Friday morning for Rebel Stakes (gr. III) contender Rockport Harbor, who managed to dodge a loose horse while out for his morning jog.

The son of Unbridled's Song was on the far turn being ponied by trainer John Servis when the alarm sounded across the track, signaling a rider down and a loose horse. Servis drew Rockport Harbor to a halt along the outside rail and waited for the outriders to catch the horse.

The loose horse then bolted towards the pair, so Servis quickly angled Rockport Harbor towards the inside rail to avoid a collision. The outriders soon caught the horse and Rockport Harbor left the racetrack.

Back at the barn, Servis said, "(Rockport Habor) is fine, although he got a little cranked up because he thought he was about to do something."

Rockport Harbor, who won last year's Remsen Stakes (gr. III) at Aqueduct, will break from post position two for the 1 1/16 mile race on Saturday. Other contenders include Greater Good and Afleet Alex, who both galloped on Friday before the incident.
