By Pat Hagan The topic of betting on out of town shippers is pondered daily by those people betting on the races at Hollywood Park (whether on track, at a local simulcast facility, or in the comfort of their own homes). More importantly, how do these efforts at other racetracks equate to races run by their competitors at Hollywood Park? We all try to find ways to compare them. |

By Michael Dempsey National horse racing handicapper Michael Dempsey will attempt to pad his bankroll and yours with his daily column. He will feature at least one Pick 4 play from a major track along with coverage of major stakes races, longshots, and will keep you up to date on what is happening on the circuits he covers. Don't miss Wednesday's report where Michael will keep you up to date with track bias reports for the major circuits.
Saturday's featured race of the day was the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps and we came up with the winner. Take D'Tour paid $4.10 for the win and we missed out hitting the exacta. Not a payoff that got our pulse racing.
Our Pick 4 ticket from Churchill Downs crashed and burned after the first leg. Not exactly a good way to end our week. However, we have plenty of opportunities to pad our bankroll today. There are Pick 6 carryovers at Hollywood Park, Churchill Downs and Belmont Park today. We'll try and take down the late Pick 4 at Churchill Downs today with a modest $32 investment.
Featured Race of the Day: BEL Race 8 OClm $50,000N2X (4:40 et) #5 Zaynab 3/1 #2 Survived 9/2 #1 Beau Dare 5/2 #6 My Rachel 7/2 |

Don't miss Wednesday's report where Michael will keep you up to date with track bias reports for the major circuits. There is five stakes on tap at Churchill Downs on Saturday including the Grade 1 $750,000 Stephen Foster. We'll try to take down the $250,000 guaranteed Pick 4 with a $48 ticket. There were late post times at both tracks on Friday, so we'll update Friday's results in the next edition. Thursday turned out to be a pretty good day. We knocked down the late Pick 4 at Churchill Downs with our $48 ticket, cashing for $235.90. In our featured race of the day from Belmont Park, our top pick Sir Jackie got up in the last couple of strides and paid $6.10 for the win. Don't miss Wednesday's report where Michael will keep you up to date with track bias reports for the major circuits. Twin Talk got home first as my top pick in Wednesday's featured race of the day, returning $9.00 for the win. We failed to knock down the exacta in the race. Our Pick 4 ticket got off to a good start with Bright Sunshine ($19.80) but we got knocked out in the second leg. For Thursday we'll head out to New York for today's featured race of the day. Then we'll head out to Churchill for our Pick 4 ticket, which is a $48 investment. Our longshot list is on the light side, let's hope that does not mean we are in for a chalky day.
Featured Race of the Day:BEL Race 6 Clm $14,000 (3:36 et) #9 Sir Jackie 4/1 #6 Rob's Boy Mat 9/2 #4 For Gill 3/1 #2 Mighty Gulch 7/2 |

By Brian Mulligan Be careful what you wish for Larry Jones. Lest you forget that you and your owner of Hard Spun dumped Mario Pino after the Preakness because he moved too early into a hot pace. It was a knee jerk reaction for Spun’s new pilot, Garrett Gomez, to try to take a little hold and wait till the optimum time to pounce. |

Don't miss Wednesday's report where Michael will keep you up to date with track bias reports for the major circuits. Well, I guess we can say I missed hitting the Triple Crown by a head. I had Street Sense in the Derby, and came back with him as my top pick in the Preakness only to get beaten by Curlin. Rags to Riches was my top pick in the Belmont Stakes and that worked out well, the filly returning $10.80. The Triple Crown is history, and now we have the dogs day of summer to look forward to. Which really is not too shabby. Del Mar and Saratoga open in July. Until then, we'll plug away trying to pad our bankroll at Churchill and Belmont. Featured Race of the Day: CD Race 4 Clm $5,000 (2:45 et) #8 Twin Talk 6/1 #5 Coping With Mike 5/1 #1 High Adventure 5/1 #9 Lifes Crown 3/1 |

And again, this can be easily accomplished even if all you are offered is that 5 second “glimpse” in the post parade. Below are the big time “No-Nos” when it comes to negative equipment. |
